Katy was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. She graduated from Winter Park High School and attended the University of South Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Katy moved to Columbus, Ohio following college and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of Nationwide Children's Hospital, a "level 1" trauma center. This experience was a tremendous learning opportunity but she also credits this work for sparking her interest in care continuity and her passion for pediatric primary care. While working at the hospital, she received her Master's of Science in Nursing from the Ohio State University Graduate School of Nursing.
She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP).
Katy moved back to Orlando in 2016 to be closer to family and started working at Tree House Pediatrics as a nurse practitioner. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, running, boating, being outdoors, reading and spending time with her husband and son.
