Meet the Tree House Pediatrics Team

At Tree House Pediatrics you‘ll find an experienced and friendly staff who love children. We pride ourselves on our empathetic approach to practicing medicine. We use our personal experience as parents and patients to complement our medical knowledge and skills.



Annette N.  Nielsen, MD

Dr. Nielsen was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for her Undergraduate Degree where she majored in Biology. Following college she worked in the pharmaceutical research industry prior to entering Medical School. She attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Upon graduation Dr. Nielsen moved to Florida where she completed her Pediatric Residency at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. Following Residency Dr. Nielsen worked at Vanderbilt University Monroe Carroll Children’s Hospital as a Fellow in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. While in her Fellowship she realized that her true passion was General Pediatrics. She then accepted a position in Winter Garden, Florida, with the Community Health Centers of Central Florida. While working at the Community Health Center was another wonderful learning experience she wanted to open her own practice. In January 2008, Dr. Nielsen opened Tree House Pediatrics in Lake Nona. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and traveling. Her son can often be seen around the office.


Kristina Javier, MD

Dr. Javier was born in Queens, New York, and grew up in Far Rockaway by the beach. She attended Marymount College, now known as Fordham University, in Tarrytown New York, for her Undergraduate Degree. Following college she attended Medical School at State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Upon graduation she came to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital for her Pediatric Residency. After completing her Residency she joined Tree House Pediatrics.

Dr. Javier was inspired by her first boss, an OB/GYN, to become a Doctor. She taught Dr. Javier that her goals could be reached with dedication, persistence, and passion. Dr. Javier has always loved working with kids and their families, making Pediatrics a perfect fit. In her spare time she enjoys making memories with friends and family, spending time with her husband, and playing board games.


M. Britt Rodgers, MD

Dr. Rodgers was born in Jacksonville, Florida. When she was in Kindergarten her teacher asked her what she was going to be when she grew up. Dr. Rodgers told her she was going to be a Pediatrician. She started her journey by attending Yale University for her Undergraduate Degree. She then moved to Gainesville where she attended Medical School at The University of Florida College of Medicine. Upon graduation she completed her Pediatric Residency at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. She then joined Tree House Pediatrics where she is pursuing her passion of comforting sick children and their families.  Dr. Rodgers enjoys helping children grow into strong, happy, and healthy teenagers and adults.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing soccer, running, reading, watching movies, and traveling.
